Destination Brings on Isaac Gerstenzang as Corporate Director of E-commerce
ENGLEWOOD, CO, September 23, 2008. Andy Anderson, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Destination Hotels & Resorts, recently announced Isaac Gerstenzang was hired as the new corporate director of e-commerce.
Gerstenzang, who has more than 11 years experience in the hospitality industry, will be responsible for overseeing and leading Destination's Internet marketing effort, including overall strategic vision and direction, as well as development of next-generation Web sites in order to support corporate and property-level branding programs. Gerstenzang has already begun implementing a reputation management tool that will allow properties to monitor third party sites as well as analytically compare themselves to their comp set.
Gerstenzang was most recently with the New York Palace Hotel, where he oversaw the redevelopment of the hotel's two Web sites, integrated customer relations management technologies and played a significant role in the property's re-branding. Prior to the Palace Hotel, Gerstenzang served as the director of marketing for the Oliver Winery in Bloomington, Indiana. He received degrees in both business and journalism from the University of Colorado as well as a master's degree in business administration from Syracuse University's Whitman School of Management.
