Cornerstone Development Group Hires New Assistant Controller

DESTIN, FL, Oct. 12, 2005. Cornerstone Development Group, Inc. has hired Mike Ross as the company's new assistant controller. Ross earned an M.B.A from Troy University, and has five years of financial accounting experience. He resides in Navarre, Fla. with his wife Jennifer. Cornerstone Development Group was founded in 1999, when two longtime friends, John McNeil and Buddy Runnels, combined their passion and experience in real estate sales and property development to create a company focused on developing Florida's Emerald Coast.

Cornerstone, which has numerous real estate holdings in the United States, serves as the development partner for Sterling Resorts-developed and owned properties, as well as development projects awarded to Sterling. Sterling-owned resorts developed by Cornerstone include Sterling Beach, Sterling Reef, Sterling Sands, Sterling Shores and Splash (opening in 2006). Cornerstone also developed and owns Kelly Plantation, a golf and waterfront community in Destin, Fla., and Sterling Golf and Yacht Club at Bay Point Resort in Panama City Beach, Fla.
