Pegasus Appoints Industry Veterans to Key Positions

DALLAS, TX, October 16, 2008. Pegasus Solutions has named five industry veterans and corporate leaders to new management roles within the company, including Mark S. Dubrow, Mel Kemp, Steve Lapekas, Aaron Shepherd, and Andrew Stringer. The appointees bring more than 100 years combined experience in the hospitality and technology industries to their executive positions at Pegasus in the areas of technology, finance and human resources.

Pegasus CEO Mike Kistner announced the appointments on the heels of 5,200 hotels upgrading to RezView(R) NG, Pegasus' next-generation central reservation system; and following a quarter where more than $26 million in renewed and nearly $10 million in new contracts were signed.

"The last two years have established Pegasus as a game-changer in hospitality technology," said Kistner. "From going private in 2006, acquiring GuestClick and WizCom in 2007, and achieving breakthrough momentum with upgrades to RezView NG this year; we're set to continue as the leading force for innovation to help hotels, suppliers and agents compete successfully. This team of leaders has helped us reach this point, and will be the team to take us into 2009 and beyond."

Mark S. Dubrow has been promoted to executive vice president and chief financial officer. He will maintain his current role as president of Pegasus Financial Services, while assuming overall responsibility for finance and accounting. Dubrow completed undergraduate work at the University of Maryland and is a graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso. He has been in the hospitality industry for 25 years, and the finance industry for 20.

Mel Kemp, a 25-year industry veteran, was appointed senior vice president, global operations and service delivery, where he will take on the responsibility for service delivery in reservations services and electronic distribution. He is a graduate of West Virginia University.

Steve Lapekas has been promoted to senior vice president, corporate business development and chief technology officer. In addition to maintaining chief technology responsibilities for the company and leading product management and consulting, Lapekas will now manage business development through mergers, acquisitions and strategic alliances. With nine years experience in technology, Lapekas also has five years experience in the U.S. Army Field Artillery, and is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point.

Aaron Shepherd, who joined Pegasus following its acquisition of GuestClick in 2007, has been appointed chief information officer. In this role, Shepherd will expand his information technology leadership to the entire Pegasus operation with a charge to take Pegasus' next generation framework beyond reservations services. He brings 25 years experience in technology and 20 years hospitality to his new position.

Andrew Stringer, a 22-year industry veteran, has been named senior vice president, human resources, continuing the work already begun to develop a culture of accountability and performance at Pegasus.
