Phuket's Sri panwa Estate Stages 'Ultimate' Festive Season
'Asia's Hippest Countdown Party'
NOVEMBER 10, 2008. Phuket's exclusive Sri panwa resort, voted one of the top five resorts in Thailand, is hosting the "ultimate" festive season highlighted by the residency of world famous DJ Arthur Baker.
Attracting such high profile international guests as Kenny G and celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, the stunning resort acclaimed as "one of the most seductive" in the world is being transformed to 'party central' after sundown throughout Christmas and the New Year.
Sri panwa also offers a seven-night package for two in a one-bedroom Ocean View Pool Villa at THB 473,620 over the festive season from December 20 to January 10. Sri panwa switches into the festive season spirit early with a traditional 'Loi Krathong' ceremony and dinner on November 12, where the traditional floating of a "krathong" - a banana leaf cup - will take place with the intention of floating away ill fortune and to express apologies to the "Khongkha" or "Ganga", The River Goddess. Later in the month its time for turkey with a Thanksgiving dinner on November 27. A feast of all the traditional Thanksgiving dishes along with some surprises from Baba's kitchen!
On December 25, it's truly the season to be jolly at Baba's 'HOT' Christmas. Phuket's sassy 'Queen of Soul' Bonnie Anderson joins the festivities that start at 7pm with a family-style dinner at BABA dining, followed by music, dancing and drinks late into the night at BABA Lounge.
The family style menu consists of some of BABA's most delightful dishes including Yam Nuea (Thai style beef salad), Roast spring chicken with mango chutney, Crispy morning glory and sweet sexy & spicy deep fried grouper. To top it off - a selection of mouthwatering desserts including traditional Christmas cake. Dinner is priced at THB 5,999++ per person, including a glass of Veuve Clicquot.
An 'Andaman Seafood Dinner' of grouper, snapper, king prawns, oysters, lobster, baby octopus, blue crab and much more is served fried, steamed, fresh, in a curry or anyway you like it at Baba on December 29.
On December 30 & 1-3 January 2009, BABA heads back to its roots with Thai-inspired drinks, cocktails and a menu of cuisine from across the country is served at an event headlined 'Thai, Thai, Thai'.
On December 31, Sri panwa's Sweet, Sexy & Spicy New Year's Eve is sure to end the year with a bang.
Legendary Boston born, London based DJ/Producer Arthur Baker, a pioneer of re-mixing and the modern dance scene, heads a team of DJs tempting guests on the dance floor of one of the resort's biggest villas. Champagne will be flowing, guests will be grooving and fun will be the name of the game at the 2,000 sq. meter villa party - set to be "the best villa dance party in Asia".
Before the craziness starts at the sensational 'Sweet, Sexy and Spicy Countdown Party', Bonnie Anderson returns to entertain during another gastronomic family-style set dinner, priced at 9,999 Baht++, including a bottle of wine.
During the festive season, Sri panwa has also arranged a full calendar of recreational events, including daily yoga at sundown from December 21-January 18, and master yoga with Kru Noo, owner of Bangkok's famous Baan Noo Yoga Studio, teaching an individual, informal style of 'srivananda' yoga from December 31 to January 3 at 7am daily.
