Grand Traverse Creates New Meeting Spaces
FEBRUARY 13, 2009 - Grand Traverse Resort & Spa near Traverse City, Michigan is introducing two new meeting rooms. The meeting spaces, named the Northwoods Room and Manitou Room are conveniently located side-by-side on the Lobby Level of the Resort's 17-story Tower.
Northwoods Room: This 1,336-square foot room, housed in the former location of the Northwoods Christmas store, is available for groups up to 20 people to meet in a high-end executive boardroom. The room features a large boardroom table, casual soft furniture clusters and a semi-private computer work area. The room's d'ecor features the warmth of a fireplace and cedar paneling with natural colors of brown and burnt orange to provide an up north feel with a touch of elegance.
Manitou Room: This 1,004 square foot room, named after the Manitou Islands of Lake Michigan, is housed in the former Michigan Seasons gift shop. The room is great location to gather groups for a casual hospitality event of networking and fun. Guests can enjoy the pool table, large screen TV with Wii game console and built-in bar. The room offers casual comfortable seating and tables for cards and conversation.
The meeting rooms may be rented together or individually and offer unique settings compared to tradition meeting spaces. Food and beverage service may be added to either room and full audio-visual services are also available.
