Accor CEO Gilles P'elisson Appointed Chairman of the Board

FEBRUARY 26, 2009 - The Accor Board of Directors met today to approve the resolutions to be submitted to the Shareholders Meeting on May 13th, in particular those concerning the renewal of the Board whose three-year term is

coming to an end.

A majority of the Board members having expressed their will to reduce the number of seats on the Board and to combine the positions of Chairman and CEO, the Chairman of the Board and five other Board members

resigned.

Acknowledging this decision, the Board appointed Gilles P'elisson, CEO, as Chairman of the Board. A new Appointments Committee, comprising five members, including all independent boards members, was asked to prepare a list of appointments for the next Board meeting, to be held by mid-March to be submitted to the Shareholders Annual Meeting.

It has been decided that the future Board will be limited to no more than 13 members, and that it will comply with the AFEP/Medef recommendations, regarding the proportion of independent boards members.
