Sheraton Tucson Completes Renovation
MARCH 3, 2009 - It's all new. Sheraton Tucson Hotel & Suites has unveiled an exciting new identity, blending the intimate vibe usually found at boutique hotels with fun and function for an urban resort experience at a mid-priced value. After a multi-million dollar renovation, the hotel offers a contemporary look with the personalized services that are usually found at luxury boutique hotels. Luxury meets sensibility at Sheraton Tucson.
The blend of style and sophistication with affordability and function create a distinctive experience. Sheraton Tucson Hotel & Suites is now a premier destination for Tucson travelers. Guests are greeted by personal hosts, rather than front desk agents, to accommodate their every need during their stay. Guests' welcome includes a liquid s'more, the hotel's signature chile-seasoned cocoa shooter. Just another touch to show guests of the hotel are getting "s'more" on every level while they are visiting.
In addition, Sheraton Tucson touts 18,000 sq. ft. of flexible event space, ballrooms, lobby, Sheraton Business Link, a caf'e proudly brewing Starbucks, fitness center and Fire+Spice restaurant. New guests rooms were unveiled in September 2007. The new hotel experience was developed by Sage Hospitality, Sheraton Tucson's management company.
The most delicious addition is the property's new restaurant and dining concept, Fire+Spice. Guests can experience a modern twist on Arizona cuisine with the influences of Spain, the Southwest and Native American artisan recipes.
Warm colors, bold d'ecor, ambient lighting, a seductive indoor/outdoor bar and blazing fire pits make the perfect accompaniment to Fire+Spice's modern Arizona cuisine. The sensual fire pits set the stage for an enchanting evening both before and after dinner for every occasion. The fire pits will also be the site of the hotel's Intention Rituals, a new activity created by Sheraton Tucson Hotel & Suites to help you fulfill all your desires by releasing what you don't want and wishing for what you do. Watch for Fire+Spice's activity calendar, coming in March, to join.
The hotel's interior evokes the feel of a boutique hotel, blending contemporary elegance and Southwestern accents. Sheraton Tucson's design team created a modern look by implementing a pod concept and beautiful rock wall in the reception area. A new caf'e proudly brewing Starbucks fills the lobby with the aromas of specialty coffees.
"We are transforming ordinary processes into memorable experiences", says General Manager, Nanci Sherman. "Our commitment is to provide the best hotel experience in Tucson for each and every individual we serve."
The guest rooms are the perfect oasis after a long days work or play. The hotel features 131 suites and 85 deluxe guest rooms. The rooms are appointed with Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Beds, refrigerators, new bed linens, new upholstered furniture and plasma TV's, with a feel of desert elegance. Wet bars with granite countertops also add to the in-room experience of all suites. Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.
The events center and meeting venues tout 18,000 sq. ft. of flexible event space. The newly redesigned meeting rooms and new Sabino Ballroom use a complementing desert-themed color palette and feature the most-up-to date technology and equipment.
The new Sheraton Tucson also includes Sheraton Business Link, a workcenter for business travelers in the hotel's lobby. It features complementary Wi-Fi and PC workstations, TV-on-PC workstations and printing.
The fitness center features new Precor equipment, while a new furniture collection will soon be unveiled at the pool area. Sheraton has also added private Starwood Preferred Guest lounge for use by members.
