Sandals Enhances Travel Agent Workshop Series

. March 27, 2009

MARCH 27, 2009 - This spring, Sandals Resorts will once again embark on a multi-city U.S. tour to host a Travel Agent Workshop Series providing area agents with an overview of the resort company's latest news. The 2009 Travel Agent Workshop Series will provide additional details on new upgrades, expansions and partnerships rolling out across the resort portfolio - comprised of Sandals Resorts, Beaches Resorts, The Royal Plantation Collection and Grand Pineapple Beach Resorts - this year.

Workshop highlights include an insider's look at Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort Villages & Spa's new $125 million Italian Village expansion and enhanced Pirates Island Waterpark; the development of The Royal Plantation Collection in The Bahamas, Jamaica and Turks & Caicos; the new Sandals Resorts PGA Golf School in Jamaica powered by NikeGolf(R); and the new Millionaire Suites at Sandals Regency La Toc. Agents will come away with a wealth of knowledge on the resort company's continued Luxury Included(R) direction, as well as its most recent brand geared toward budget-minded travelers, Grand Pineapple Beach Resorts.

Workshop attendance will also benefit agents who are either maintaining their current status as a Certified Sandals Specialist (CSS) or becoming CSS certified for the first time. Launched in 1996, the CSS program is based on the agent's lifetime cumulative bookings and provides meaningful benefits, including: marketing tips and techniques; bonus commissions; and business tools such as co-branded collateral, websites and advertising opportunities.

Agents who attend one of the Travel Agent Workshops can also take advantage of exclusive incentives offered by both Sandals Resorts and participating tour operators totaling $3,900. Agents who book a Luxury Included(R) vacation within 60 days of attending a workshop can receive up to $1,500 ($100 for each concierge-level room and $200 for each butler-category rooms). Tour operators will additionally offer bonuses of up to $2,400 to participating agents.
