$5,000 to the 'Face of Travel'
APRIL 14, 2009 - The Meetings Mean Business campaign is looking to find the individual who best embodies the character and hardworking spirit of the travel industry. The winner will become the newest spokesperson for our industry, including interaction with the media, meetings with policymakers and possible appearances in advertisements. To encourage participation, the U.S. Travel Association will also provide $5,000 to the winner.
To participate, industry employees must submit a 45- to 60-second video telling why they are the "face of travel" and how business travel, meetings and events are important to them, their company and their community. A few examples can be seen by clicking to see Graham and Ricky.
Videos should be submitted through www.meetingsmeanbusiness.com/facesoftravel.
It's not complicated, so give it a shot. We're talking about serious issues, and we need people with energy, passion and enthusiasm to help communicate them.
All submissions must be made by Noon EDT on April 24.
