Crowne Plaza-Madison Completes Renovation
APRIL 28, 2009 - IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) [LON: IHG, NYSE:IHG (ADRs)], the world's largest hotel group by number of rooms, announced today that the 226-room Crowne Plaza-Madison Hotel has recently completed a $5 million renovation.
Investcorp and Interstate Hotels and Resorts have invested in the following renovations to the 6-story property:
o Enhancements to sleeping rooms and new, HVAC with individualized temperature controls
o The hotel has added 3,300 sq. ft. of meeting space, including a new boutique ballroom
o A full complement of new technology to include all new audio visual equipment
o The hotel has added a new restaurant "The Prairie Caf'e" featuring a daily breakfast
o A new full service Starbucks featuring a variety of specialty coffee drinks
o The new Growlers Bar and Grill a Wisconsin theme craft beer bar featuring local fare
o A modernized design based on Frank Lloyd Wright's "Prairie Style" throughout hotel
o "Travel Green" certified hotel, by Travel Green Wisconsin

The Crowne Plaza-Madison is located at 4402 East Washington Avenue, on the eastside of Madison and is within walking distance to East Towne Mall, movie theaters, bowling alley, parks and several restaurants.
