Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco Receives Fourth Consecutive Mobil Five-Star Award

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, October 27, 2005. Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco has once again been awarded the coveted Mobil Five-Star Award. The 2006 honor marks the fourth consecutive year that the hotel has received this mark of distinction in its four-year history. The Mobil Five-Star Award recognizes only a select few hotels as the best in the country. Hotels must be able to maintain a consistently exceptional level of service, quality, and ambience. The 32 lodgings recognized in 2006 represent less than one percent of the country's hotels.

Consistently delivering Five-Star service is a rigorous, if not nearly impossible process. In the four-year history of Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco, challenges have been abundant. The hotel opened within weeks of September 11, and was immediately faced one of the most difficult times known to the industry. Nonetheless, the dedicated staff of Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco created an atmosphere and level of service, which enabled them to earn the Mobil Five-Star top ranking in the hotel's first year of operation.

The 2006 Mobil Five-Star award, representing the pinnacle of hotel honors, caps another year of high marks for the hotel, including:
