After Wilma... Le Meridien Cancun Resort & Spa to Re-open November 16

. October 14, 2008

CANCUN, Mexico, October 28, 2005. Le M'eridien Cancun Resort & Spa is in good condition after the passage of Hurricane Wilma and will begin welcoming guests again on November 16, 2005. The hotel sustained no serious structural damage or injuries to any guests or members of the staff during the hurricane.

The immediate goal is to have Le M'eridien Cancun Resort & Spa operating in ten to 15 days with most guest rooms available, Aioli Restaurant and Rendez-Vous bar in operation, limited Room Service, limited pool service, and Mistral ballroom and Tramontane meeting room available. As always, the staff will offer the highest level and quality of service. Spa del Mar and the Martiniere ballroom will be closed for approximately 30 days for repairs.

The hotel was well prepared for Wilma, immediately putting into motion its contingency plan and working in tandem with local authorities to stay on top of the latest information while keeping the best interests and safety of guests in mind. Guests of Le M'eridien Cancun Resort & Spa were transferred inland to a designated school shelter in Cancun during the storm. There they received medical and food services, showers, entertainment, and personal attention provided by the hotel.

Cancun has demonstrated its strong will and ability to handle this type of natural disaster. Le M'eridien is confident that Cancun will be fully restored and operational again by the end of 2005. Le M'eridien Cancun Resort & Spa will dedicate all efforts to recovering the region and ensuring it continues to be a beautiful and safe place for travelers.
