Sergio Vasques Named Director of Engineering for Nantucket Island Resorts
NANTUCKET, MA, November 2, 2005. Nantucket Island Resorts has appointed Sergio Vasques Director of Engineering. Sergio will oversee the 22-person engineering department controlling a real estate portfolio consisting of 141 buildings, five high-end resort hotels including The Wauwinet, The White Elephant, Jared Coffin House, Harbor House Village, and Nantucket Boat Basin, a world-class marina, 250 boat slips, employee housing units, retail shops, and stand alone cottages.
With over 18 years in the hospitality industry, Vasques was recently the Director of Engineering at the Omni Parker House and prior to that he was the Director of Property Operations at The Colonnade Hotel. Sergio spent over seven years with Starwood Hotels as the Chief Engineer at the Westin Copley Plaza Hotel and later at the Westin Hotel Waltham.
