Starwood Capital Names Gary Raymond President of Development
GREENWICH, CT, November 10, 2005. Starwood Capital Group has appointed Gary Raymond president of Starwood Capital Development. In this newly created role, Raymond will report to Barry Sternlicht, Starwood Capital's chairman & CEO. He will assume his new position by the end of the year and be based in the company's San Francisco office.
In his new role, Raymond will oversee Starwood Capital's development activities and related resort and condo/hotel investments. It is anticipated that he will help build a development and marketing company for Starwood Capital's planned resort communities as well as a condo/hotel operating arm.
