Chef James "Shadow" Henahan Named Executive Chef for Tranquility Bay Beach House Resort

MARATHON, FL, November 21, 2005. James Henahan, celebrated in culinary circles as "Chef Shadow," was recently appointed Executive Chef at Tranquility Bay Beach House Resort, the newest luxury beach house resort in the Florida Keys, developed by The Singh Company and managed by Singh Hotels and Resorts.

In addition to overseeing cooking operations for the luxury resort, Chef Shadow will also head up recipe and menu creation and manage kitchen staff at the popular and growing number of Singh properties, including the Butterfly Caf'e, Tranquility Bay's signature gourmet caf'e. New World tropical cuisine will be the order of the day at the Butterfly Caf'e, where Shadow's mission will be to capture the essence of the islands with an emphasis on local ingredients and ocean fresh seafood.

Chef Shadow has built a peerless reputation over the past 25 years as a culinarian with a keen sense of quality and style. He has been responsible for the continuing success of restaurants and inns of all sizes in California, the northeastern United States and in Europe. For over a decade in Quechee, Vermont at several notable venues including the well-known Simon Pearce Restaurant, he played a key role in the creation of one of the most highly regarded all-season destination dining experiences in New England. Chef Shadow has been the Featured Chef at the prestigious James Beard House in New York City and has appeared on television on The Food Network with Sarah Moulton.
