Breakers Resort to Open 20 Beach Bungalows
PALM BEACH, FL, December 14, 2005. The Breakers Resort here will open 20 beach bungalows in March as part of the property's $15 million redevelopment of its beachfront. The addition of the 300-square foot cabanas, which are available for rental by guests on a daily basis, is an effort to maximize the resort's revenue potential.
Fifteen of the bungalows overlook the resort's new relaxation pool, while five are across from a more active, child-friendly "fun pool." Each of the bungalows is contained within a duplex or triplex cottage-style building. Each is equipped with a full bathroom that includes a shower open to the sky and a changing area. Each unit is furnished with tables, chairs, a day-bed sofa, and chaise lounges. At the guest's request, a refrigerator in the unit can be stocked with fruit, bottled water, and a wet bar.
In addition, the entire beachfront area has been equipped with wireless high speed Internet access to allow guests to access email.
The new bungalows are in addition to 10 existing cabanas located at the resort's existing pool deck. These units will be upgraded to provide the same standards as the new bungalows.
