New Castle Hotels & Resorts Promotes Manville to Vice President, Corporate Accounting
SHELTON, CT, January 6, 2005.James B. Manville has been promoted to vice president of corporate accounting by New Castle Hotels & Resorts, a leading third-party manager and developer of hotels and resorts.
Manville joined the company in 1988 as Senior Corporate Accounting Manager and most recently held the position of director of corporate accounting. He will continue to manage all aspects of New Castle's corporate accounting, tax and financial reporting.
Prior to joining New Castle, Manville worked as controller for PopShots Inc., a publisher of pop-up greeting cards. During his seven-year tenure there, he oversaw the company's financial reporting, and cash and inventory management. His 25-plus years in accounting includes work for certified public accounting firms such as Deloitte and Touche in Stamford, Conn., Seward and Monde in North Haven, Conn. and Pascarella and Trench CPAs in Providence, Rhode Island.
A resident of Newtown, Conn., Manville holds a bachelor of science in business administration/accounting from Bryant University and in 1982, he became a certified public accountant.
