Pointe South Completes Presidentail Suite Renovations
PHOENIX, AZ, February 13, 2006. Pointe South Mountain Resort, a property managed by Destination Hotels & Resorts (DH&R), has completed a major renovation to its presidential suite.
The revamp is both in design and function, and supports the resort's position as one of the finest event and vacation destinations in the Southwest. The 1,190-square-foot presidential suite features a living room, bedroom, wet bar, dining room, two bathrooms and a balcony. For the re-design, Interior Design firm Markie Rhoads Interiors of Phoenix drew color inspiration from the South Mountain Preserve bordering Pointe South Mountain Resort in the use of colors such as sage, palo verde green, eggplant, persimmon and gold.
The 156-square-foot master bathroom was completely renovated with a new spa shower, large oval tub and new flooring made of porcelain and granite. The bedroom ceiling was updated with cove lighting, giving a soft, indirect light; and the balcony was also renovated. The entire suite received new custom furniture, including table and chairs for six in the dining room; worktable, coffee table and overstuffed leather sofa in the living room; and leather headboard and armoire in the bedroom. Plush new carpeting, draperies and paint were also added throughout the suite. New electronics and appliances were also installed, with a plasma flat-screen TV in the living room, large-screen LCD TV in the bedroom and junior refrigerator and microwave in the wet bar.
