NEW YORK, NY, June 23, 2005. Couch potatoes take warning: Millennium Hotels and Resorts' eclectic assortment of fall vacation packages is not for the faint of heart; the activities and special events combined with accommodations, breakfasts and other value-added hotel amenities include hot air balloons, Scottish games, Broadway shows, famous museums, sporting events, even the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. As the weather begins to cool, romance heats up at the Millennium Alaskan Hotel in Anchorage. > From September 22 through December 25, 2005, travelers may choose from three autumn packages: A "Weekend Bed and Breakfast" featuring deluxe accommodations and continental breakfast (in the room or at the Flying Machine restaurant); Complimentary shuttle service to the 5 th Ave Mall, Nordstrom's, the Dimond Center Mall and other shopping venues, and complimentary use of the hotel's health club, sauna, steam room and hot tub. Valid Friday through Sunday nights, the package is priced at $119 per room, per night plus tax.

For $149 per night, the hotel offers a "Sweetheart Getaway," with deluxe king accommodations, a bottle of chilled champagne and smoked salmon appetizers, turndown chocolate treats and the complimentary shuttle and health club use. And, for supreme romantics, there is a "Sensational Romance" package that begins with a bouquet of roses and champagne and includes suite accommodations, a private dinner for two served in the room, an assortment of chocolate truffles, turn down service and a full breakfast. The suite also includes its own hot tub. The package is priced at $495 per night.

The Millennium Broadway Hotel offers the hottest tickets in New York for unbeatable prices. The gorgeously redesigned and expanded Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) recently opened to rave reviews...plus long lines and higher ticket prices. So, the hotel is offering a "MoMA" package priced from $299 and valid through December 31, 2005, that includes two VIP admissions to the famous museum that let guests skip the queue, plus accommodations, continental breakfast in Restaurant Charlotte. MoMA packages with Premier accommodations are available from $359. The Premier features luxury amenities and a range of guest benefits such as late checkout, daily newspaper delivery and use of the Premier Lounge , where guests can enjoy complimentary continental breakfasts, hors d'oeuvres, cocktails and other beverages.

Theater-goers are also in for a treat, with the hotel's "Premier Ticket Rebate" package, featuring accommodations, continental breakfast, cocktails and hors d'oeuvres daily and a $100 maximum rebate on Broadway show tickets. Available

Just a few blocks away on the East side, the Millennium UN Plaza Hotel is also offering a "MoMA" package with the two VIP admissions. Rates begin at $279 and valid through December 31, 2005. The hotel's rooms offer sweeping views of the magnificent Manhattan skyline and the East River. This private haven away from the hustle and bustle of Midtown traffic features a glass enclosed indoor swimming pool (heated in the winter) overlooking the city; an indoor tennis court; fitness center and massage and sauna facilities; duplex rooms and one bedroom suites and kitchenettes.

Even a sleepwalk could mean savings at the Millennium Airport Hotel, Buffalo . Conveniently located within walking distance of the Walden Galleria, the hotel is offering autumn travelers a "Sleep, Shop 'N' Save" rate of $109 per night, plus tax. The package includes deluxe accommodations, a shopping shuttle service (for those who may need it) and a $25 gift certificate to be used at the mall. Available through December 31, 2005. Walden Galleria has over 200 stores, 12 movie theaters and an international food court.

The Millennium Hotel, Durham's, "Duke Arts" package is well-worth the applause from anyone visiting the Duke University campus this fall. The package, priced at $139 and valid through December 31, 2005, features deluxe accommodations on the Millennium Club level, continental breakfast and a maximum rebate of $50 per room, per stay for any event at the Duke Theater, including expositions, musical or sporting events. Receipts or ticket stubs must be presented upon check-out to claim the rebate. Millennium Club level accommodations include complimentary high-speed Internet access (wireless access is available in the hotel's lobby and Varsity Lounge).

Autumn means romance, and a volcano, at the Millennium Knickerbocker Hotel in Chicago. In addition to a "Park & Play" package that features overnight accommodations, turndown service and valet parking (from $199 per night), the hotel has teamed up with the renowned Field Museum to showcase "Pompeii: Stories from an Eruption." The exhibit (two tickets are included in the package price) features over 450 artifacts recovered from the 79 AD volcanic eruption of Mount Vesuvius. Valid October 21 to March 26, 2006, the package is priced from $149 and also includes accommodations and a full American breakfast daily. The Millennium Knickerbocker also offers a similar partnership with the city's Museum of Contemporary Art, priced from $189 per night, including accommodations and two admissions to the museum.

The Millennium Hotel, Minneapolis, is taking on the high price of gas, offering a "Bed & Breakfast" package that features, in addition to accommodations and full American breakfasts for two, a $10 gas card. Valid Thursday through Sunday until November 30, 2005, the package is priced at $109 per room per night.

Scottish games, hot air balloons, new films, the "Loop in Motion" and more: the Millennium Hotel, St. Louis has a package for everything the city has to offer. The Forest Park Balloon Glow & Balloon Race (September 16 - 18), package includes overnight accommodations, parking, breakfast and a boxed picnic lunch (from $94 single/double; $15 each additional person).

September 30 - October 1 are the dates for the Annual Loop in Motion Arts Festival, with gallery walks, entertainment and more; in addition to accommodations and breakfast, the package includes parking, a welcome cocktail and two one-day passes on Metrolink, the city's high speed public transportation system (rates for the package start from $149).
