Mandarin Oriental Appoints Christoph Zbinden Corporate Director, FB

HONG KONG, March 9, 2006. Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has appointed Christoph Zbinden as Corporate Director of Food and Beverage. Mr. Zbinden will be based at Mandarin Oriental's corporate offices in Hong Kong, and will represent Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group's food and beverage interests on a global basis.

Mr. Zbinden has over 20 years of food and beverage experience, and prior to joining Mandarin Oriental, was ultimately responsible for creating dynamic and profitable food and beverage operations for Ritz Carlton's international development projects. In addition to his lengthy tenure with Ritz Carlton, Mr. Zbinden previously held senior operational roles at Atlantis Royal Towers, Bahamas and The Peninsula, Hong Kong.
