Doral Golf Appoints GM
WASHINGTON, DC, March 20, 2006. The Doral Golf Resort & Spa is appointing Tuni Kyi as general manager of the award-winning luxury 693-room property.
Tuni brings over 30 years of hospitality experience to the resort's 40 years of tradition. He will oversee all hotel operations and its 1,100 employees.
"Having spent nearly a decade in Hong Kong I am happy to be back in the U.S. focusing on the success of one of the brand's most prominent resorts," said Tuni.
Tuni has been a part of the Marriott family for 27 years beginning his tenure as a restaurant manager at Marriott's Tan-Tar-A Resort in Missouri. For the past eight years, he served as the area vice president of the Greater China, Vietnam, the Philippines and Malaysia in the Marriott Regional Office in Hong Kong. Tuni has also held various positions within Marriott International, Inc., including the vice president and general manager of the JW Marriott Hotel in Hong Kong, the area general manager of the Key Bridge Marriott Hotel in Arlington, Virginia, and the general manager of the Warner Center Marriott Hotel in Los Angeles.
Tuni is a graduate of Columbia College in Missouri with a degree in Business Administration.
