SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, CA, March 28, 2006. Embassy Suites Hotel-Lake Tahoe Resort recently completed a multi-million dollar renovation that expanded meeting space, added wireless technology throughout the property and enhanced dining service for weddings, banquets and business meetings.
South Shore's highest rated all-suites resort, Embassy is centrally located in South Lake Tahoe just feet from Nevada's casinos and nightlife and steps from Heavenly's high-speed gondola, year-round outdoor recreation and shopping.
The Resort's upgrades and added conveniences were designed in response to ongoing guest surveys. "We have a loyal group of repeat visitors - families and meeting and convention planners, and want to provide them all the desired services required at a grand facility."
Meetings
One of the area's most popular hotels for corporate meetings since its 1991 opening, it has more than 10,000 square-feet of flexible meeting space, state-of-the-art audio and video, experienced technicians, property wide internet access, the area's only wireless technology, 400 two-room suites perfect for executive travel, award winning personnel, creative on-site catering and dining, and a "Meeting Guarantee" policy to ensure clients' requirements are met for a quality and productive meeting. Whether a meeting planner or a bride searching for a location to accommodate a guest list of eight or 500, Embassy Suites Lake Tahoe has the room and the staff to help coordinate a seamless event. With 2,500 square feet of brand new meeting space, nearly 10,000 square feet of flexible meeting space overall, recently rejuvenated meeting facilities, a grand ballroom and updated accommodations, the Resort is equipped to handle almost any configuration. It boasts an elegant 4,212 square foot ballroom accommodating up to 440 guests; four medium-size meeting rooms for 110; four small boardrooms hosting 40; six conference suites for 12; a Garden Atrium for up to 500; while each suite can host small groups of four to six with fully equipped and built-in meeting features and well-lit workspace. Additional technological improvements have created more appeal for business savvy guests. In addition to complete wireless access coverage, there's PC hook-ups to big screen TVs, access to wireless kiosks located in the front lobby for group information and check-in, a new card key system for enhanced safety and convenience, and a heat-censored, infrared reader thermostat in all rooms to stabilize comfort and to encourage energy efficient practices.
More Conveniences
Embassy Suites also replaced its skylight roof allowing more sun into the atrium, installed new pool lining and a deck area, and added new carpet in the lobby area and in the elevators for skiers' safety. Ski racks were installed in all the suites, including space for gloves and boots. In 2006, the Health Facility will increase square footage and a new free weight system will be installed. Avis Car Rental is conveniently located near the parking area.
Food & Beverage
The Echo Restaurant menu has expanded significantly under the direction of Chef Michael Quintal to include a broad range of requests. The Resort's food and beverage services is equipped to deliver customized menus or buffets for elegant banquets from 10 to 300 guests indoors or outdoors; four-course private dining to grand theme dinners, cooked-to-order complimentary breakfasts daily for all guests in the Garden Atrium; in-suite dining for guests ready to snuggle in for the night; as well as a broad-array of family-friendly selections. The design of Echo has moved toward a family-friendly, casual dining atmosphere with an area for a big screen TV and kid's menu. In-suite dining echoes the restaurant menu in selection and price. After a day of playing in the mountains or lake, guests can relax in the lounge at the Nightly Manager's reception, enjoy an in-room massage, dine in comfort at the restaurant or with in-room service, enjoy one of three garden atriums, play in a large indoor heated pool, soak in the whirlpool or rest in the sauna, visit the fitness center or enjoy the many other hotel facilities.
Packages
To help vacationers fully experience Lake Tahoe, the Resort offers a Premier Ski/Board Snowfest Package. The seven-night stay also includes five days of skiing/boarding at a choice of seven world-class ski resorts: Heavenly, Kirkwood, Sierra-at-Tahoe, Mt. Rose, Northstar-at-Tahoe, Alpine Meadows, or Squaw Valley for just $1,799. For shorter stays there's the Ultimate Ski/Board Package with two lift tickets per day to one of six ski resorts, including Heavenly, with each night booked.
Families
With its two-room suites, daily breakfast, nightly reception, TVs in both rooms, and California location, Embassy is popular with families. Embassy enhances family fun with its affiliation to Lake Tahoe's Kids' Camp, offering adventures and activities including hiking, swimming, movies, bowling, laser-tag, miniature golf, arcades and meals. Group up to 15 kids ages 6-13 are fully supervised during this day or evening camp-style program operating seven days a week, year round. The daytime session is from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and the evening session is 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The rooms
The hotel features nine floors and 400 two-room suites, and each bedroom has been luxuriously redecorated with the highest thread count linens and bedding packages, including mattress-top padding. Every suite offers a bedroom and living room to increase productivity for business guests and provide more comfort and flexibility for leisure travelers. All rooms include a refrigerator, microwave oven, coffee maker and two remote-control cable color televisions with in-room movies. The two touch-tone telephones offer voice mail and advanced dialing and data communication features. The Resort features 237 King Suites, 106 Double/Double Suites, 21 Premium King Suites, 11 Premium Double/Double Suites, 6 Conference Suites, 4 Lakeview Suites, 1 Stateline Suite featuring 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, and 14 Physically Challenged Suites; 375 of the suites are non-smoking.

Embassy Suites Lake Tahoe is also recognized as one of the top employers in the region with 290 personnel.
