On June 1, the newly redesigned "Veranda Four One One" will open offering guests of room 411, or local New Yorkers in the know, an 800-square-foot terrace which will offer the ideal spot for hosting an intimate, candle-lit dinner party or special event for up to 40 people.

Interior Designer Annette Jaffe, whose vibrant color schemes and unique touches can be seen throughout the property, has outfitted Veranda Four One One with scattered lounge areas featuring comfy furniture highlighted by striped pillows and cushions. Candelabras, sconces and candle lanterns combined with walls of climbing ivy and an array of flora further help set the tone of an urban "English" garden set high above Madison Avenue.
One of the main features of Veranda Four One One is the new retractable, remote-controlled awning draped above the entire space, which provides coverage for guests during inclement weather. Additionally, the Veranda is equipped with speakers allowing a variety of music, ranging from jazz to club lounge, to be piped through lending to the relaxing ambiance.
