NEW YORK, NY, April 6, 2006. Linda Coughlin, president of Metro-Home NYC LLC (www.metro-home.com), has been presented with the 2006 "Enterprising Women of the Year" award in the category of $5,000,000 - $10,000,000 in annual sales. She was one of six women executives to receive the honor. The award was presented in a ceremony held at the Disney Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Walt Disney World Company was the Premiere event sponsor, with UPS serving as a Platinum event sponsor.

The award is given annually by Enterprising Women magazine to women entrepreneurs who have built successful businesses and are leaders in their communities.

Metro-Home is now the premier provider of short-term and extended stay housing solutions for individuals and corporate employees, offering an inventory ranging from budget to luxury apartments, each fully furnished and appointed. The company serves a "Who's Who" of clients, from financial services and entertainment to the pharmaceutical industry.

While building her business, Coughlin has passionately pursued involvement in professional and community organizations, giving back to the marketplace that has enabled her to thrive as a successful entrepreneur and businesswoman. She has received countless dividends in the process.

Linda Coughlin serves as a founding partner of Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP), a member of the Women Presidents' Organization (WPO), Women's Leadership Exchange (WLE) and the National Forum of Women Executives.

She is also active with the Junior League, Women Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) and Shakespeare On the Sound. A mentor for the not-for-profit organization Count-Me-In's "Make Mine a Million Dollar Business," Coughlin is also a former Board member of the Norwalk After School Alliance. She resides in Rowayton, Connecticut, with her husband, a patent attorney, their three children and a stepdaughter, Kate, who is a law student at Boston College.

Enterprising Women magazine hosted the two-day tribute designed to honor women entrepreneurs who are recipients of the 2006 Enterprising Women of the Year Award. Four women were inducted into the Enterprising Women Hall of Fame and two were given Advocacy Awards, honoring leaders of organizations that work in the interest of supporting women's entrepreneurship. Nearly 50 women were honored for their outstanding advocacy and entrepreneurial achievements in the categories of businesses earning up to $1 million annually, $1 million - $5 million annually, $5 million - $10 million annually, $10 million - $25 million annually, and over $25 million annually.
