Four Seasons Boston Completes $43 mil Renovation

. October 14, 2008

BOSTON, MA, April 10, 2006. This month, AAA Five Diamond and Mobile Five Star Four Seasons Hotel Boston unveils new guestrooms and corridors marking the end of a $43 million hotel-wide project, the largest renovation to the property since opening in 1985. The end result is a new hotel inside the original structure with an additional 6,000 s.f. of meeting space serviced by a staff with more than twenty years of experience. On a modern New England home, incorporating contemporary design and technology without sacrificing Boston's old-world charm.

"It's so exciting to complete the three-year process and offer our guests a virtually new hotel combined with our ongoing commitment to service excellence," Peter O'Colmain, Vice President and General Manager said.

The comforts of home played a large part in the guestroom design, with crisp white duvets, Rivolta linens, NXTV on-demand entertainment, comfortable sitting chairs and individual artwork in each room. Gone are the days of heavy draperies, quilted comforters and bulky armoires. Now, the rooms are lighter and sleeker in style with flat screen TVs and marble-topped drawer units. Some of the technological changes include 42- inch plasma TVs, faster T1 high-speed Internet service in every guest room and wireless Internet in all public spaces.

Babey, Moulton, Jue & Booth sourced materials from top manufacturers and craftsmen internationally and domestically.

For the business traveler:

o iPod and MP3 player connections through television stereo (connection cords available at concierge desk)

o Marble-topped dressers and flat screen TVs for added living space

o Increased Internet speed

o Spacious desks ideal for laptop computing

o Complimentary overnight shoeshine

o 24-hour valet laundry and room service

o Complimentary laundering for workout gear at 24-hour fitness center

"Today's traveler isn't looking to escape the home environment. They want to feel a level of comfort and a sense of place, which is why we selected classic Boston ambience and paired it with technology that supports a business person's needs," said Michael Booth, principal, Babey, Moulton, Jue & Booth.
