La Quinta Names Temple Weiss the Vice President of Development and Acquisitions
DALLAS, TX, July 5, 2005. La Quinta Corporation (NYSE: LQI) has named Temple H. Weiss vice president development and acquisitions, reporting to Alan L. Tallis, executive vice president, chief development officer and president of franchising. In this newly created position, Mr. Weiss will be an integral member of the development team, managing new development, joint venture arrangements and acquisitions of lodging assets and brands.
Mr. Weiss has been with La Quinta for five years, most recently as vice president of finance and investor relations, where he helped lead the company's 2004 acquisition and integration efforts of the Baymont lodging chain. Prior to joining La Quinta, Mr. Weiss served in various roles within corporate finance for Bristol Hotels & Resorts. In addition, Mr. Weiss has held a variety of operating positions with various hospitality companies.
