LBA Properties Honors Two Marriott GMs
DOTHAN, AL, April 26, 2006. The Courtyard by Marriott in Dothan, Ala., and Pat Sidler, general manager of the Pensacola, Fla., Courtyard by Marriott, have been named, respectively, Hotel of the Year and General Manager of the Year for 2005 by LBA Properties, Inc. LBA Properties, a hotel development/management/ownership company with a 33-property portfolio, manages both hotels.
Barry Kraselsky, president and C.O.O., presented the awards at LBA's Annual GM Conference, held April 18-21 at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Destin, Fla.
The Dothan hotel was named Courtyard's Franchise Hotel of the Year by Marriott International in 1998, and has received Hotel of the Year awards several times from LBA Properties. GM Colmar, who has managed the hotel since 1997, was also named Courtyard's Franchise General Manager of the Year by Marriott International in 1998.
LBA GM of the Year Sidler, with 23 years in the hospitality industry, is a member of the Pensacola Junior College Academic Advisory Board for the school's Hospitality Department.
