JW Marriott Desert Ridge Appoints Brad Colton Resident Manager
PHOENIX, AZ, May 8, 2006. JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa announced today the appointment of Brad Colton as its new resident Resort Manager. Colton, who was most recently in charge of Marriott's Residence Inn and Towne Place Suites, both extended stay brands, brings more than 20 years experience to JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa.

Colton leaves his position as Brand Executive for Marriott's extended stay brands with an impressive record of $1.8 billion is sales for Residence Inn and $250 million for Towne Place Suites. Prior to this assignment, from 1999 to 2004, he was general manager of Bethesda Marriott and Bethesda Marriott Suites and Area General Manager, overseeing a total of 18 hotels. From 1996 to 1999, Colton was responsible for five hotels in Fairfax County, VA, generating sales of more than $60 million. In addition, he also managed Tyson's Corner Marriott.
Previous positions include General Manager at Gaithersburg Washingtonian Center Marriott, Atlanta Northlake Courtyard and Resident manager at JW Marriott Washington, DC, Atlanta Airport Marriott and Atlanta Northwest Marriott.
Colton holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Brigham Young University and a MBA from Colgate Darden Graduate School of Business Aministration.
