Tracy Masterson Named Sales and Catering Manager

HIGHLANDS, NC, May 25, 2006. Tracy Masterson has been named Sales and Catering Manager for Old Edwards Inn and Spa and The Lodge at Old Edwards Inn in Highlands, NC. The Old Edwards Inn and Spa opened in July 2004 as a luxury 32-room destination resort after a $50M restoration and expansion, including Madison's Restaurant and Wine Garden and the addition of a world-class spa.
Masterson's responsibilities will include interfacing with clients to coordinate, plan and execute corporate and association retreats as well as social and wedding events at the resort. Masterson has been with Old Edwards Hospitality Group since September 2005 when she joined the team as a Front Desk Clerk. She quickly moved up to Front Desk Supervisor and is pleased to accept this new role with a passion for excellent guest service, planning and logistics. She brings a strong understanding of all angles of hotel operations and has more than five years experience in the field.
Prior to coming to Highlands, Masterson was employed with Delaware North Parks and Resorts, which manages properties in United States' National Parks. Garnering experience in many levels of guest service and hotel operation, she held a variety of positions in Yosemite National Park including: At the Ahwahnee Hotel, she was Hotel Concierge and prior to that was Front Desk Clerk there. As restaurant Hostess/Captain at Yosemite Lodge Mountain Room restaurant, Masterson organized guest settings for this very popular fine dining restaurant. Prior to that, she was responsible for the Front Desk where she performed check-in and check-out at the 250-room camp. As Yosemite Lodge Quality Inspector, she coordinated with Housekeeping Management and the Front Desk Team to ensure a pleasurable guest experience.
Masterson grew up in Potter Valley, California.
