Adventure Is the Keynoet of Meetings at Millennium Harvest House
Motivational Talks, Rocky Mountain Hikes and Other Team Building Programs
BOULDER, CO, July 11, 2006. Escaping alone from an eighty-foot deep glacial crevasse is not a requirement for meeting at the Millennium Harvest House Boulder. To be motivated and inspired by someone who has, on the other hand, puts a new perspective on team building.
For 24 years, Jim Davidson has earned accolades as a mountain climber, international expedition leader and high-altitude rescuer. When he lost a climbing partner in a fall and had to claw his way out of glacial avalanche debris and then eight feet up an overhanging ice wall, he learned quite a bit about perseverance, resilience and overcoming adversity. And those lessons are the foundation of the motivational speeches and workshops Davidson provides as "Adventure Consultant" in partnership with the Millennium Harvest House Boulder.
Combining his inspirational talks with a broad range of team-building activities that harness the awesome majesty of the surrounding Rocky Mountain wilderness, Harvest House and Davidson have created a meeting experience that sets the hotel apart as a meeting destination. Meeting planners are encouraged to work with the hotel's conference staff to develop customized programs that can include guided hikes in the mountains, team building events and other adventurous activities in addition to booking Davidson for a keynote address. Davidson said, "With the incredible mountain setting at the Millennium Harvest House, and their great facilities, it is an excellent location to conduct adventurous team-building activities and inspirational talks for businesses."
"Working with Jim Davidson to develop a unique perspective on meetings is a natural tie-in to our theme: 'Where Boulder Plays and Adventures Begin,' said Clark Davis, director of sales and marketing, Millennium Harvest House. "Our goal is to fully utilize the incredible natural resources and character of our community in order to provide our guests with a rewarding and memorable meeting experience.
As a Colorado resident as well as an internationally recognized expert in both mountaineering and public speaking, Jim is the perfect partner and we firmly believe that meeting planners and their guests will benefit from our partnership."
