. October 14, 2008

CLEVELAND, OH, Jluy 12, 2006. Ohio-Davidson Hotel Company announced that it has completed a major, $4 million renovation of the Embassy Suites Cleveland-Beachwood. The renovation encompassed all areas of the hotel, including all guest rooms and public areas, and included the addition of significant meeting space to accommodate social or business gatherings of up to 400 people.

Key elements include completely making over the hotel's 216 suites, including new carpeting, furniture, bedding, wall coverings, artwork and lighting. The completely refurbished rooms use an earth-tone palette of rich browns, greens and yellows. Each room has a focal wall that showcases a unique work of art. Guest bathrooms were completely upgraded to include "roomier," rounded shower-curtain rods, granite counter tops and new plumbing fixtures.

The lobby was totally upgraded and refreshed with new seating groups and upscale, Axminster carpeting from the U.K. Lighter and brighter tile was installed to finish off the earth-tone setting.

A new business center and private board room, capable of comfortably seating up to 10 people, were added in the existing lobby. The property now offers nearly 5,000 square feet of meeting space, capable of handling groups of up to 400 people.

"The hotel has been totally transformed and infused with a feeling of casual elegance," said Larry Rose, general manager. "The ambience of the hotel is very residential, comfortable and upscale. We now are the 'newest' upscale hotel in our market area."

The hotel's indoor pool area also was refreshed with new flooring, and the whirlpool and sauna were refinished.

Located at 3775 Park East Drive, the hotel was acquired by RLJ Urban Lodging Fund, LP approximately 12 months ago. "Their strategy is to own and operate hotels at the highest quality and service levels," Rose noted. "Although the hotel is now completely refurbished, our associates' dedicated service attitude remains at one of the highest levels in the Embassy Suites system."

In addition to an indoor swimming pool, the property provides a comprehensive fitness center. Each of the hotel's two-room suites is outfitted with an oversized work desk and ergonomic chair, flat screen television, microwave oven and refrigerator, and complimentary, wireless, high-speed Internet access. The hotel offers a manager's reception every evening and free, cooked-to-order breakfast ever morning. "We serve approximately 5,000 breakfasts a month and recently upgraded our breakfast area with new equipment and signage to make it easier to navigate. In addition, we've significantly upgraded our omelet selection."
