The Hay-Adams Appoints Alison M. Okobi Director of Catering
WASHINGTON, DC, July 12, 2006. The Hay-Adams, one of the world's leading luxury hotels, located across from The White House, announced that Alison M. Okobi has been appointed Director of Catering. Okobi assumed her duties in late June.
Ms. Okobi comes to the hotel with close to eight years of hotel catering and sales experience at the Ritz-Carlton and Hyatt organizations, all of it in the greater Washington, D.C. area. She served as Senior Catering Manager at the Ritz-Carlton Pentagon City, Virginia, and subsequently, as Social Catering Sales Manager at the Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C. Most recently, she was Director of Catering and Convention Services at the Hyatt Regency Bethesda, in Maryland.
Okobi said, "I am happy to join the catering team at the Hay-Adams, which is known for providing the highest quality food and beverage services to a wide array of business and leisure travelers." She concluded, "I look forward to contributing to the further enhancement of the hotel's f & b operations in the months ahead."
In addition to her processional accomplishments, Ms. Okobi is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Syracuse University, and is a member of the International Society of Event Specialists (ISES). She resides in Arlington, Virginia.
