Westin Providence Announces New GM, Sam Guedouar

CRANSTON, RI, July 19, 2006. Cranston, Rhode Island-based real estate developer/hotelier The Procaccianti Group (TPG), announced that Sam Guedouar has been appointed as General Manager of the Providence Westin. Guedouar will assume his new role effective Monday, July 24.

Guedouar joined TPG as General Manager of The Four Star InterContinental Kansas City at the Plaza. Prior to joining TPG, Guedouar served as General Manager for several Luxury and Upscale properties including the Lake Lawn Resort in Lake Geneva, WI; Hotel ZAZA in Dallas, TX; The US Grant Historic Hotel in San Diego, CA; and The W Hotel in Newark, CA.
Guedouar joins a team of General Managers lead by Regional Director, Alan Stegman, another skilled and proven industry executive. Stegman joined TPG following a distinguished career with Hilton Corporation that spanned more than 17 years.

The Westin Providence is currently undergoing a large expansion project that includes the construction of a 32-story tower. The tower will include 200 additional hotel rooms and 103 luxury residential units -- The Residences at the Westin Providence. Once complete, The Providence Westin will boast 564 guest rooms securing its position as the largest hotel in Rhode Island's capital city.
