Matthew Dykstra Named Hilton Baltimore Director of Sales
NEW YORK, NY, July 20, 2006. Hilton Hotels Corporation is pleased to announce that Matthew Dykstra has been named Director of Sales at Hilton Baltimore, where he will lead sales efforts for the exciting new hotel now under construction and scheduled to open in 2008.
Joining Hilton Baltimore from the Hiltons of Washington, D.C., Mr. Dykstra was Area Director of Sales & Marketing, playing a key role in developing business for the Hilton Washington and Capital Hilton since 2005. He previously served as Director of Sales for the Hiltons of Chicago and held sales leadership posts for hotels in Chicago and Minneapolis. He began his career as Sales Manager at the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago. A graduate of Michigan State University, he holds a B.A. degree from the Eli Broad College of Business: Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management.

Adjacent to the Baltimore Convention Center at the Inner Harbor, the Hilton Baltimore will be Baltimore's largest hotel and the only, via enclosed sky bridge, to provide visitors with direct covered access to the Convention Center. Featuring 758 luxurious guest rooms, including 17 suites, of which 10 will provide spectacular balcony views of Oriole Park/Camden Yards, the hotel will also offer a fine dining experience at Finn & Porter(R) restaurant, featuring a distinctive menu with fresh seafood, succulent steaks and sushi; a comfortable Lobby Bar for relaxing conversation and cocktails, and Starbucks, which will provide an alternative in-house food and beverage option for guests.
The hotel also will boast the city's largest Grand Ballroom, with 25,000 sq. ft. of unobstructed function space; an accommodating 15,000 sq. ft. junior ballroom, and an additional 20,000 sq. ft. of flexible meeting space. All meeting rooms will feature HSIA, data, voice, and visual transmission.
