Evergreen Lodge at Yosemite Announces Fall Program & Packages
Evergreen's Guided Recreation Program Offers Tours into the Real Yosemite
GROVELAND, CA, August 17, 2006. Evergreen Lodge, a classic Yosemite destination with unsurpassed recreation and activities for all seasons, announces its fall recreation program and packages for couples, families and groups. Located on the western border of Yosemite off Highway 120, near Hetch Hetchy Valley, the historic Evergreen Lodge offers convenient access to all of Yosemite's attractions.
"Fall is considered the best season to enjoy Yosemite for those 'in the know.' The summer crowds have gone home, the weather is ideal and gorgeous warm colors dominate the landscape," said owner Lee Zimmerman. "Guests of Evergreen quickly learn that there is more to Yosemite than El Capitan and Half Dome. Our on-site professional guide service provides guided trips and expert advice that enable our guests to explore the park's little-known wonders, in addition to the more popular spots."
The Evergreen's fall packages are available starting September 8 and include accommodations, breakfast and other select meals, coordinated recreation options and complimentary on-site activities.
The Fall Bike to Waterfalls package includes two nights' lodging in a new cedar cabin, breakfast, a full-day guided bike trip to waterfalls (bike rental included), a box lunch, and a happy hour beverage. Rates for couples are $225 per night on weekdays and $245 per night on weekends, and family packages are $320 per night and $340 per night, respectively.
The Fall Ultimate Yosemite Getaway, at $345-380 per night for two people, includes two nights' lodging, breakfast both mornings, a happy hour beverage both nights, a full-day guided naturalist hike or bike trip (complete with box lunches, trail snacks and Evergreen water bottles), followed by two one-hour, full-body massages and a three-course dinner, and a special memento: either two Evergreen Lodge t-shirts or a framed historic photo of Yosemite's Hetch Hetchy Valley before construction of the O'Shaughnessy Dam.
The Fall Romance package features a two-night stay in a cabin with gas fireplace, welcome basket and champagne or sparkling cider, full breakfast each morning, box lunches for an afternoon getaway, a happy hour beverage, a three-course dinner, and guaranteed late checkout. Package rates are $199 to $239 per night. The enhanced package includes two one-hour, full-body massages in-room for an additional $75 per night.
