Cornell Hotel School Announces Outreach Ambassador
Cheri Farrell named Outreach Ambassador at Cornell Hotel School

Ithaca, NY, July 21, 2005 - Cheri Farrell has been named Outreach Ambassador for the Cornell University School of Administration, the School announced today. Farrell, who has held many leadership positions during her 33-year career at the School, begins this new part-time role effective today after a brief retirement.
Farrell will support the School's outreach to alumni, friends and corporate partners. She will concentrate her efforts on developing resources for the School's Center for Hospitality Research and its Alumni Affairs and Development Office. The Center for Hospitality Research is supported by more than 40 corporate partners and friends around the globe. The School also maintains close ties with more than 10,000 alumni, many of whom hold corporate and civic leadership positions worldwide.
"One of the great strengths of our School is the close relationships we have cultivated with our alumni, friends and corporate partners," said Sherri Kimes, acting dean at the School. "Cheri Farrell has played an important role in developing those relationships over her long and distinguished career. We are pleased that she has agreed to help us as we work to strengthen existing relationships and foster new ones."
During her many years overseeing the admissions function, Farrell interviewed more than half of the School's graduates. Through the years she has served as a personal conduit between many alumni and the School, and her appointment as Outreach Ambassador has been warmly received by alumni and friends.
