In Cincinnati, Millennium Hotels and Resorts Simplifies, Streamlines and Makes Improvements to Creat
August 1 Rebranding of Four Points by Sheraton, Cincinnati Downtown, to Millennium to Appeal to Corp
CINCINNATI, OH, July 21, 2005. Seeking to offer corporate, leisure and meeting guests a significantly enhanced visit in Cincinnati, Millennium Hotels and Resorts will rebrand the Four Points by Sheraton Cincinnati Downtown, which it has operated alongside the Millennium Hotel, Cincinnati, on August 1. By merging the two identities into one, Millennium will simplify and streamline the hospitality experience, making it more comfortable, efficient and enjoyable without changing the essential character and high level of service that have made both properties individually strong favorites in the region.
By operating the hotels - a 422-room tower and a 450-room tower side by side - as one larger homogeneous property, Millennium is also positioning itself as the largest hotel in the tri-state to take advantage of the 2006 reopening of the Cinergy Convention Center with an increased capacity to conveniently handle larger groups.
Physically, the rebranding means that the hotel will have one, large and convenient reception area (on Fifth Street) instead of two. Because the Four Points was completely renovated four years ago, no major refurbishments are planned at this time, though Millennium Hotels and Resorts amenities will be placed in all rooms. There will also be some upgrading of some king-bedded rooms with new duvet covers and other embellishments. The hotel will offer four levels of accommodations - Standard, Superior, Classic, and Club.
"The 'new' Millennium Hotel, Cincinnati, is a win, win situation for all our guests, including those who have been loyal customers at the Four Points by Sheraton," said Lisa Carrere, general manager. "By rebranding the property as a single hotel, we can offer a seamless level of services, eliminate confusion about which facilities belong to which hotel, and simplify the guest experience, particularly from the perspective of corporate and meeting planners. And, we can cater to the broadest spectrum of guests by offering choice based on price, accommodations, dining and meeting facilities. We also provide the city with a flagship, upscale hotel in keeping with its growing importance as a business, meetings and leisure travel destination."
To celebrate the new unified hotel, Millennium is offering a number of special incentives to business, group and leisure travelers as well as local businesses. These include double Delta Air Lines frequent flyer SkyMiles through March 2006.
