NEW ORLEANS, LA, December 18, 2006. The Renaissance Pere Marquette Hotel and the Hotel in New Orleans are pleased to announce Frank Zumbo as general manager for both properties. Zumbo brings in over 20 years of hospitality experience, all of which has been with Marriott International. Zumbo's history in the travel industry is varied, ranging from food and beverage management to regional operations.

Helming two of New Orleans most unique and distinctive hotels, Zumbo will lead a team of 160 in guest services, room operations and food and beverage management. The Renaissance Arts Hotel is located in the heart of the famed Arts District, just steps from the Convention Center and the French Quarter. The property, which opened in 2003, is housed in a historic warehouse, circa 1910. The 217-room hotel is attached to the Arthur Roger Gallery Project and pieces from the gallery are located throughout the property and are for sale. Additionally, LaC^ote Brasserie, the hotels' chic restaurant, offers entrees prepared by celebrated local chef, Chuck Subra, Jr. The Renaissance Pere Marquette is situated just one block from Bourbon Street, in close proximity to the Audubon Zoo and the Superdome. Originally built in 1925, the hotel was reborn in 2001 as a sophisticated jazz-inspired property offering 272 rooms. Each of the hotel's 18 floors are dedicated to a different jazz luminary, providing guests with the chance to "dream with legends."

Most recently, Zumbo served as regional vice president of operations for the Western region where he provided support to rooms, food and beverage, event management and retail operations for 55 Marriott Hotels, representing combined annual sales of over $2.5 billion. Zumbo also acted as regional vice president of operations for the South Central area and, as such, led the region to the number one ranking in North America for overall guest satisfaction. The industry veteran began his career at the Des Moines Marriott as a restaurant supervisor, served as director of restaurant operations for the Orlando World Center Marriott and played a significant role in opening the New Orleans Marriott at the Convention Center. Zumbo is a graduate of Iowa State University.

"I am thrilled return to New Orleans after a four-year hiatus and join the very successful teams in place at the Renaissance Pere Marquette and the Arts Hotel," said Zumbo. "These two amazing properties have been leaders in the market for some time and I am looking forward to being part of this exciting opportunity to further distinguish them in New Orleans."
