SEPTEMBER 15, 2009 - In recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, The Tarrytown House Estate & Conference Center, managed by Destination Hotels & Resorts, is offering special "Making Strides" Packages in October.
Guests who book "Making Strides" getaways for any night in October will receive deluxe overnight accommodations and breakfast for two, starting at just $169 per night. The Tarrytown House will then donate $5 per room, per night to the American Cancer Society's "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" program. In addition, the Tarrytown House will donate a portion of group sales from businesses booking corporate meetings and events during the month of October.
Then, on Sunday, October 18, team Tarrytown House will join others from around Westchester County to take part in the 2009 "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" Walk at Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY. Last year, Team Tarrytown House raised more than $6,000 for the American Cancer Society.
"We are proud to continue our support of the American Cancer Society and look forward to increasing our donations from last year through our exciting new packages, as well as the 'Making Strides Against Breast Cancer' event," said Joe Santore, General Manager.
