HFTP Installs 2009-2010 Global Executive Committee

AUSTIN, TEXAS, USA (October 8, 2009) - Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP(R)) recently installed its 2009-2010 Global Executive Committee at the association's 2009 Annual Convention & Tradeshow in Las Vegas, Nev.

HFTP Global President Terry L. Price, CHAE, CHTP, CPA

Price is the chief information officer at The Grove Park Inn Resort & Spa in Asheville, N.C. He has been a member of HFTP since 1997 and is a frequent speaker at HFTP educational conferences, presenting his popular "I.T. Boot Camp" and "Be the You, You Want to Be" sessions. While serving as the ProLinks committee chair, he helped develop HFTP's ProLinks online communities, which provides online topic-based discussions, as well as education sessions.

Price currently serves on the HITEC Advisory Council and GUESTROOM 20X Task Force. He has previously served as a director on the HFTP board, as well as on the Education and Web Content Advisory Councils. In addition, Price is a frequent contributor to HFTP's The Bottomline magazine.

HFTP Global Vice President Thomas G. Smith, CHAE

Smith is chief financial officer for the Westmoor Country Club in Brookfield, Wis. He has been a member of HFTP since 1989 and currently serves on the Education and HITEC Advisory Councils. He is also a member of the Chapter of the Year Award Task Force. He has previously served on the HFTP Global Board of Directors, ProLinks Education and Leadership Academy Advisory Councils, as well as the Club Committee. Smith is an active member of the HFTP Greater Milwaukee Chapter and has served as its president twice.

Lisa Funk, CHAE Installed as HFTP Global Treasurer

Funk is the college business administrator for the Conrad N. Hilton College at the University of Houston in Houston, Texas. She has been a member of HFTP since 1997 and currently serves on the Hospitality Controllers Finance & Technology Task Force. She is the former co-chair of the HFTP Education Advisory Council and has served on the HFTP Global Board of Directors and the Leadership Academy council. She is active with the HFTP Greater Houston Chapter, and previously held various leadership positions with the HFTP Greater Puget Sound Chapter.

Raman P. Rama, CHA, CHTP, CHAE, Installed as HFTP Global Secretary

Rama is vice president and director of IT and Telecom for JHM Hotels in Greenville, S.C. He has been a member of HFTP since 1991. He currently serves on the ProLinks Education Advisory Council and just finished his second term on the HFTP Global board. Rama has also served on the Membership Marketing, HITEC and Education Advisory Councils, as well as various other committees. He is an active member of the HFTP South Carolina Chapter, having served numerous leadership roles in the chapter. He has also been a driving force in educating hospitality university students about the benefits of HFTP by creating and supporting the University of South Carolina and the Coastal Carolina Student Chapters.

HFTP Global Immediate Past President Jules Sieburgh, CHTP

Sieburgh is a hospitality consultant with O'Neal Consultants in Bethesda, Md. He is active in HFTP's GUESTROOM 20X, serving as the chief technology consultant and integrator for the exhibit, which showcases new and upcoming technologies for hotel rooms. The fourth version of the exhibit debuts in June 2010 at the 2010 Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC(R)) in Orlando, Fla.

Sieburgh has been a member of HFTP for over 20 years, currently serving on the EHTEC Advisory Council and Paragon Award Selection Committee. He frequently speaks at conferences like HITEC, HFTP Annual Convention & Tradeshow and various industry events. He is also the 1998 inductee to the HFTP International Hospitality Technology Hall of Fame.
