CTC Names INNCOM to Top Five

Fastest Growing Connecticut Companies in Energy/Environmental Technologies

. November 04, 2009

NIANTIC CT, November 3, 2009 — For the second consecutive year, INNCOM International Inc., the global leader in Integrated Room Automation Systems and Energy Management applications and products for the lodging industry, has made the Connecticut Technology Council UHY LLP “Tech Top 40.” This honor is a celebration of the 40 fastest growing Connecticut-based companies in the categories of Software, IT Services, Life Sciences, New Media/Internet/Telecom, Advanced Manufacturing, and Energy Environmental Technologies.

INNCOM was recognized in the Energy/Environmental Technologies category as being one of five fastest growing companies in Connecticut from 2005-2008. A ceremony took place on Oct. 22 at the Chevrolet Theater in Wallingford for all Tech Top 40 honorees.

Duane Buckingham, INNCOM CEO, credits the company's revenue growth to the lodging industry's need for technologically innovative systems to control energy usage while staying competitive in a challenging economic environment. In particular, he noted the imaginative savvy of INNCOM's R&D and engineering teams to create new, green solutions that integrate multiple guestroom functions onto a single, centrally-monitored and controlled system.

"We are honored to be recognized by the Connecticut Technology Council for our strong performance,” Buckingham said. “We could not have achieved our outstanding revenue growth without the ongoing support from our hotel customers, strategic business partners, and dedicated management team which boasts well over 100 years of cumulative experience in the lodging industry.”

INNCOM's solutions -- which include energy management, guestroom occupancy monitoring and reporting, central electronic-lock control, door bell / privacy / make-up-room annunciation, and patented temperature and lighting controls -- are second to none, and are installed in more than 750,000 hotel rooms in 42 countries around the world.

To qualify for the UHY LLP Tech Top 40, companies must have had operating revenues of at least $3,000,000 in 2008, be headquartered in Connecticut, and own proprietary technology or proprietary intellectual property that contributes to a significant portion of the company's operating revenues; or devotes a significant proportion of revenues to the research and development of technology.
