Denise Coll Inducted into Massachusetts Lodging Association Hall of Fame
Starwood's President of North America Division Recognized for Dedication and Contribution to Lodging Industry During 30 Year Career

Coll, President of Starwood's North America Division, was selected by the Massachusetts Lodging Association (MLA) to be inducted into the MLA Hall of Fame for her contributions to the lodging industry of Massachusetts during her 30 year career. The award was presented last week at The Sheraton Boston Hotel during the 2009 MLA Hall of Fame Award Ceremony.
The MLA Hall of Fame Awards are designed to recognize individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, professionalism and have made a significant impact on the hospitality industry throughout their career.

A Boston native, Coll began her career in hospitality with ITT Sheraton Corporation serving as a reservation manager at the Sheraton Boston Hotel in 1977. She quickly rose through the ranks working in a variety of increasingly senior positions within the company which resulted in an exceptional track record as one of the industry's most seasoned and successful hotel operators.
Coll oversees the operations, sales and marketing efforts for Starwood Hotels' largest division which is comprised of over 500 hotels and resorts in the U.S., Canada, U.S. Virgin Islands, Bahamas, French Polynesia and British West Indies. With more than 30 years of hospitality experience at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc., Seaport Companies and ITT Sheraton Corporation, Coll has a proven track record of driving profitability and performance, facilitating and executing strategic plans and leading process improvement initiatives - all which continue to solidify Starwood as an industry champion
