. November 13, 2009

NOVEMBER 12, 2009 - Warwick International Hotels announces the completion of an extensive refurbishment of the villas and suites at the Warwick Ibah Luxury Villas & Spa in Ubud, Bali, including the addition of two new “Treetops Suites.” The new accommodations at Warwick Ibah Luxury Villas & Spa represent a fine example of classic and up-to-date Balinese hospitality and style in a lush and historic setting.

The Treetop Suites are approximately 100 sqm each and are decorated in colonial antique-style furniture with Balinese touches. If you weren't visiting paradise, you might be tempted to spend all your time inside these lovely rooms, which include an air-conditioned bedroom/living room area, an outdoor living room/terrace, a dressing room with a large ensuite bathroom and separate toilet, a spacious private entrance and stunning views into the forested river valley.

The new appointments throughout the other villas and suites include beautiful solid teak beds and desks, fresh living room furniture, new fabrics, art, and decor in the colonial style of British designer Sally Clarke-Richardson. The living spaces are decorated with day beds in exotic wood, ceramics and Javanese glass paintings. Large terraces with sofas, immense bathrooms, and open air showers are just some of the luxury features. Some of the lodgings have private pools and outdoor showers.

Surrounded by coconut, bamboo and frangipani trees, Warwick Ibah Luxury Villas & Spa is spread over the slope of a river valley, like a magical balcony looking over unforgettably green paddy fields. Surrounded by tropical vegetation, seventeen luxury suites & villas with traditional roofs merge with nature. Each takes the name of a local flower featured in the surrounding gardens and offer a level of luxury, comfort, privacy and service to be expected from the “Warwick Collection.”

RESORT FACILITIES
The restaurant is Balinese style with comfortable furniture and spacious tables. The decor is elegant but not overstated, with ceiling fans and surrounding water features full of movement and colourful fish. The menu presents a range of healthy modern international dishes as well as popular Indonesian and classic Balinese cooking. A range of innovative and satisfying vegetarian items is also available, prepared by an internationally experienced and dedicated team in the kitchen. A carefully selected wine list features mostly Australian wines with other quality labels from France, Italy, South Africa and Latin America.

The Spa provides divine experiences to those eager to experience the ancient, herb based therapies of Bali. There are a variety of different scrubs and massages using local lotions and essential oils such as, cocoa bean oil from Tabanan and green tea lotions from the nearby village, known for its rejuvenating and anti-oxidant characteristics. The Spa is also famous for its massage techniques using the essential oils of Ginger, Vetiver and Ylang-Ylang.

The resort also boasts a special oval shaped salt water swimming-pool surrounded by Balinese stone sculptures. The area around the pool is tiled with volcanic rocks with alcoves built into the temple style walls. Each of these offers clients sofa beds to “cool off” from the midday sun or take a therapy massage outside.

Activities abound at the resort. Discover a huge variety of natural and diverse landscapes and secret places. Visitors can choose between trekking in the forest, rafting on the rivers or visiting the paddy fields on foot or by bike. The cultural centre of Ubud is an open air gallery five minutes away on foot.
