Early Morning Call: IHG Exec Greets Commuters in 'Refreshing' Style
SINGAPORE, 20 November 2009 - InterContinental Hotel Group's Jolyon Bulley provided a unique wake up call to commuters in Singapore's Central Business District this morning.
The Group's Vice President for Operations in Southeast and Southwest Asia donned his PJs and went to bed right in the middle of the peak-hour rush in Raffles Place as part of a showcase designed to highlight Holiday Inn's US$1billion relaunch programme involving nearly 3,300 Holiday Inns around the world.
Jolyon's impromptu appearance marked the end of a five-day promotion in the city centre, during which passersby were invited to tour a specially constructed mock-up room featuring Holiday Inn's new brand hallmarks ¯ bedding with the choice of firm or soft pillows, bathroom complete with power shower, and the work and entertainment zone.
They were also given the opportunity to win free stays at Holiday Inns in seven cities in Southeast and Southwest Asia, and a specially commissioned green rubber duck, the showcase mascot.
“This showcase gives us the opportunity to demonstrate - in a very tangible way - that the new Holiday Inn really has got its 'ducks in a row', so to speak, with a fresh new look in a number of fantastic new locations such as the Maldives and Bali,” said Jolyon.
