Jay Schwartz Named Procurement Advisor for Blackstone

January 22, 2010 - Jay Schwartz, vice president of procurement for The Blackstone Group's LXR Luxury Resorts & Hotels, has expanded his role with the company to include procurement advisor for all Blackstone-owned third-party managed assets, effective immediately.

In addition to his current responsibilities for LXR, Mr. Schwartz will now support the collection of Blackstone-owned properties as well as, Performance Food Group, where he is assisting with the integration of that group's procurement processes into those of Blackstone's owned assets. Mr. Schwartz oversees for the entities he is responsible, all purchasing needs and processes including operating supplies and equipment; food and beverage; furniture, fixtures and equipment; and e-procurement. He is also responsible for supervising all procurement operations, vendor relations, capital-related purchases, and service contracts.
