Baltimore, MD, January 29, 2010 - Talk about “On Time and On Budget” - an industry phrase that is used much too often; however, First Finish, a Columbia, MD-based general contracting firm can certainly back this up with its recently completed, $9 million renovations to The Little Nell - a 5 star, 5 diamond, ski resort and hotel project located in Aspen, Colorado.

Completing the project in just 12 weeks, First finish was selected because they could guarantee that The Little Nell would be 100% operational at the launch of a very busy ski season - the ultimate goal for its owner/operator - The Aspen Skiing Company.

Celebrating its 20th year, this is the most comprehensive renovation since the hotel's grand opening in 1989. First Finish tapped into local resources and hired many Aspen area companies to provide services as well as bringing a in a team of highly-skilled subcontractors from DC, VA & MD.

Internationally-known designer, Holly Hunt and Rowland + Broughton, Architects provided design services for the 95,000 sq. ft. renovation which includes 92 guestrooms and suites that incorporate more than 30 floor plans and various design layouts.

Each guest room and corridor was updated with custom American black walnut millwork, ornamental metals, and Spanish marble tile that was personally hand-picked from Spain, where the First Finish team traveled to ensure the quality of the stone. Smart room technology panels were installed in each guest room to control temperature, lighting, TV and music volume levels wirelessly.

As part of First Finish's ongoing efforts to provide more environmentally-friendly jobsites and projects, guest room doors were converted into mulch and all pre-existing furniture was donated to a local Habitat for Humanity chapter.
