Angler's Boutique Resort Introduces Outdoor Cafe

FEBRUARY 1, 2010 - The Angler's Boutique Resort's introduces street side lounging and dining expanding 660 at The Angler's with an outdoor cafe. Catering to guests' needs and desires, the sidewalk provides a comfortable and cozy environment to enjoy the view of bustling Washington Avenue. Each table is shaded by oversized umbrellas and surrounded by enhanced landscaping and potted plants. Envisioned by owners Marc and Eric Lawrence, the laid-back outdoor dining area offers the best of both worlds: staying true to its roots, the cafe at 660 remains a hideaway while allowing for the voyeurism one can expect from South Beach. For a more intimate outdoor dining experience The Angler's still offer their interior al fresco dining. From the lounge to the main corridor, lush landscaping surrounds the enclave, providing the ideal setting for all.

Continuing to transform The Angler's, owners also introduced , the property's exclusive lounge. The expanded bar and lounge area on the north side of the lobby flawlessly compliments the cozy romantic banquette seating offered by 660 on the south side, creating an effortless flow to one's night. Upon finishing dessert, guests are beckoned to the lounge where they can vibe to the beats of the property's resident DJ Amália over cocktails.

The physical changes at The Angler's are echoed in the kitchen with a new menu created by Chef Giorgio Rapicavoli, celebrating a year at the esteemed restaurant. The menu is creatively presented without the sacrifice of sophistication or taste. Featured items like Crispy Braised Pork Belly maple, sweet potato, pecans, smoked oil, sea salt; Olive Oil Poached Piquillo Peppers goat cheese, crispy baguette, and sea salt; Frito Misto calamari, shrimp, scallop, lemon, asparagus, lemon aioli and Twelve Hour Braised Short Ribs with porcini & truffle risotto, and port wine reduction. Prices range from $4 to $29. A new beer list also debuted as well as an Artisanal cocktail menu with nostalgic drinks such as the Amalfi Coast Basil Limoncello Martini and Strawberry Blonde Bellini. 660 at the Angler's currently enjoys its rating of #13 restaurants out of 404 in South Florida on TripAdvisor with the hotel in the top three spot consistently.
