Millennium Hotels & Resort's Appoints New DoSM for the Millenniums of Manhattan

April 16, 2010 - Millennium Hotels & Resorts announced the appointment of Cheryl Dewland as Area Director of Sales and Marketing for Millenniums of Manhattan. Dewland, in her new role, will be responsible for leading the sales and marketing efforts for the company's landmark Millennium Broadway Hotel, The Millennium UN Plaza Hotel and The Premier Hotel New York.

“I am incredibly honored and eager to begin my new role with the Millennium Manhattan team,” said Dewland. “The Millennium Hotels & Resorts maintain a valued reputation across the globe, and I look forward to introducing new ideas and concepts to encourage growth amongst the brand's three Manhattan properties.”

With over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Dewland has held senior sales and marketing positions with industry-leading brands such as Embassy Suites, Hilton and Westin. Prior to joining Millennium Hotels & Resorts, Dewland worked as a consultant for a condo-hotel development project, spas and hotels, as well as serving as Vice President of Sales at The Resorts at Crystal Springs.

Dewland's extensive experience has led to her in-depth knowledge of transient and group meetings, with expertise in key pharmaceutical, financial, incentive and legal markets. During her years with Hilton Hotels Corporation, she helped to establish the brand's Times Square hotel in the New York City marketplace, resulting in RevPAR (Revenue Per Available Room) indexes consistently above the city's well-established competitive set.
