Hotel Andra Completes Room Renovation

. August 10, 2010

Seattle, WA - August 19, 2010 - The Hotel Ändra, located in downtown Seattle, announced today the completion of their nine-month lobby and guest room renovation. Completed by CorsoStaicoff Interior Design, the goal was to refresh the existing lobby and rooms, while maintaining the hotel's Scandinavian and Northwest design influences.

All of the guestroom baths, with the exception of the Monarch Suite, were completely renovated. The majority of the bathtubs were replaced with partially open glass mosaic showers, creating a luxurious bathing experience and visually doubling the size of the room. The wall to wall mirrors, built in shelving and custom vanities seamlessly work together creating a feeling of calm. Electric Mirrors™, Lacava™ sinks and brushed stainless fixtures by Grohe™ and Symmons™ were used throughout.

Denise Corso, of CorsoStaicoff, notes “Not only are the bathrooms aesthetically pleasing, but they function well. There is ample storage, great lighting and space to pamper oneself. The combination of warm grays, light blues, creamy whites and natural wood quietly coordinate with the guest room palette.”

In addition, all of the guest rooms received new carpet, paint, soft goods, lighting, and bedding. The warm tones include luscious alpaca headboards, crisp linens, deep blue striped bed throws, all accented with minimalist dark wood furniture and sparked with brushed stainless accents.

The lobby living room received all new furnishings - sofas, side chairs, tables, drapery - as well as lighting, front doors, front desk and HVAC upgrades. Rich brown sofas are accented with pillows in traditional Scandinavian patterns and vibrant orange and blue. The coffee tables are from Urban Hardwoods of Seattle, known for their artful tables made from reclaimed wood. New accent lighting and additional leather chairs pull together the sophisticated urban look.
