Barbara Shore Named Executive VP for Luxe Worldwide Hotels

LOS ANGELES, CA - September 1, 2010 - Barbara Shore has been appointed Executive Vice President for Luxe Worldwide Hotels. In making the announcement, company Chairman Efrem Harkham noted, "We have been working with Barbara as a consultant for over 10 years on various marketing and communications projects. She brings an impressive background and a wealth of expertise and I'm thrilled to have her on Luxe Hotels' executive team."

Ms. Shore has more than 40 years of diversified management experience. As owner of Shore Management Services, an international association and event management firm, she has worked with both the Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel and the Luxe Rodeo Drive Hotel for the past 20 years as her preferred event venue for clients involved in the film, public relations, and travel industries.

In her new role as Executive Vice President, she will be working with other executive team members to enhance communications, establish best practices, and initiate metrics for the success of Luxe Hotels. She will also be involved in the Luxe Hotels brand expansion and in providing enhanced member services for the over 200 Luxe Worldwide Hotels members.

Barbara Shore began her career working for Smith Bucklin & Associates, an association management firm headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. She was responsible for opening and managing the company's West Coast office.

Ms. Shore has served as Executive Director and Managing Director of local, regional, national, and international organizations. Most notably as Executive Director of the Southern California Chapter of the American Society of Travel Agents for over three decades; Managing Director of the Association of Film Commissioners International; Executive Director of the International Special Events Society. Ms. Shore will continue in her role as Executive Director of the Los Angeles Area Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.
